Another day gone... and I was freezing my backside off!

2014 ----------->

Lets all hope the Recession is over and everyone will have loads of spare money to swap for some good art!
Otherwise if the Recession is still with us.., lets hope that all the bankers, politicians and the thieves in between will come down to Cornwall this year and spend all those stolen money on good art!

I will have to stop talking about corrupt politics and the banks that steal our hard earned time and just focus on selling to these.., these nice people!

Great., I made an effort in fixing my van. A start at least! It was really cold though and my shop unfortunately does allow for wind to travel through and at times a bit of mist spray as well.
It is however large and I have a good solid cement floor, the roof is really high and does not leak. The wind and occasional misty comes in through the sides...

Since arriving in Cornwall this is my third workshop and it's within comfortable walking distance from where we live. It is however also far enough for annoying people not to come and annoy me. Great!

I attempted last night to write a bit about what I aim to do this year. I got a bit lost and wandered off into unknown - 'till last night - territories! I did think that I owe my millions of readers - that include those not living on this planet as well.., the by-far-largest number I have to admit.., an explanation.
Needless to say that kept me awake all night and the moments I did slip towards sleep, dreams about that woke me up quite quickly!

The end result of all this tossing and turning.., as follows...: I probably wandered off due to not knowing what I'm really going to do...!!!

Depressing at times.., but hey, we cannot always bullshit our way through life with a smile. Not on days like today.., it's too bloody cold!

For the last five or so years I've organized, planned and executed (that word always reminds me of a firing squad) several exhibitions in and around Port Isaac. If it sounds like I taking credit.., then let it be....
For this year though I have improved a little.., I've actually managed to book these and set dates end of 2013!
I cannot describe the feeling of 'being organized' it gave me - huge.., I felt on top of the world! Walking tall and all that.., and then the rust job on my van tripped me.., flat on my back cutting rusted metal from under my poor van in bloody freezing wet weather!

Tomorrow.., when it comes.., I'll post those important dates of the exhibitions....

Longcross Hotel Art Exhibition. Five5 artists will be exhibiting at this venue in North Cornwal, UK.

Five5 artists will show their talents for the whole of August at the Longcross Hotel, Trelights. The Hotel is within walking distance of Port Isaac (Port Quin as in Doc Martin) and the real Port Quin. This year Dylan Cotton, Debbie Trant, Caroline Cleave and Linda Irwin will be joining me. They are all very talented artists!
I have been exhibiting there for the last four years and it was always great. The Longcross attracts people with a little bit more spending money than the average person. We will open on the 2nd until the 30th; 11:00 till 17:00.
Hope to see you there...

Bitcoin and Litecoin 4 Art

3 July 2013

It seems to be like a vortex or tornado sucking us in. Well, some of us get sucked in and some of us realize that we should probably get sucked in and then when we do it's far more chaos than what we thought... Then there are those who's not affected at all.., they seem to be the blessed one's...
I'm in the chaos group and my Internet 'rage' does not help.., the Internet just does not care how angry I get! It just keeps calm and does what it does.., drives me insane!

Now it is Bitcoin and Litecoin! Finally I understand the concept and I can now also stand - for a little bit - in amazement at this.., well, amazing concept! Alternative currency - do I want to share in it? Hell yes! The problem is though that as soon as I've said 'yes' I fall back into the vortex of spinning chaos and then the rage  takes over and I get left behind.

Fortunately I have some very patient friends - not many, but some who tries to keep me on track! My lovely little wife does more than her best too....

OK, so this is what I'm trying to do - emphasis on 'trying'! I'll be selling some of my art on ebay - nothing new, for Bitcoin or Litecoin - also nothing new.., unfortunately. My art though is NEW and original to the point where original does not seem to even exist. Great stuff!

Well don't take my word for it - go and have a look your selves!

Cheers!

27 July 2013

OK...., it is still chaos and I feel left behind even more than before.., sad, sad story!
My eBay listings was as unsuccessful as finding Osama Bin Laden!
Really.., yes, REALLY - Osama is alive and well AND was never lost in tghe first place!

I'm loosing focus am I not?

OK, my eBay listings was as unseccessful as Bush finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq! I'm not talking about a young boy being unsuccessful at getting that first kiss..., oh no, massive unsuccessfulness! Killing millions of innocent humans for oil profits and then not even getting a penny from doing it - that kind of unsuccesfulness!

Yes, I'm negative and probably depressed as well.., and to make it even worse my spell check does not work on this andriod thingy I'm using......!!!

All bad news....

Good news though is that I suffer from a very flexible multi personallity disorder and I can pass depression and those kind of negative things to some of my 'other' entities and these poor half-souls end up having to deal with all that shite...

I then bask in the sun of happiness and delirium, while these idiots do my ebay listings..' anhd then I complain!

Bitcoin.., Litecoin..' this really REALLY sounds good.., it's just getting in on the action!
I'll have to talk to the others...., damn!

The Waiting Waiter

He had a long day and now he's waiting for you to pay.
He might be on the grumpy side and that's because he is!
He used to be much friendlier, but that was before he had to wait and wait.

He's from several places.
Shoes and belt came from the old docks in Port Haven, East Sussex.
His jacket is that of a Morris Minor and grass cutters.
His face and hat was constructed from a bicycle seat.
Last his face and body was an off cut from my friend Daniel Sohdi Miles!

There you have it and he's still waiting!

Thanks for reading!
Lo Shem Alef

Those familiar with Hebrew will know that this little characters name means ' No Name One'. This is probably the name you would have got if where named by the American Native people and you really had no name!

"Hey, No-name-one!"

Yes he or shall I talk about 'it' to prevent any sexist comments..? No, I'll stick to he, came with a load of fire wood from a talented sculptor and friend, Daniel Sohdi-Miles. Dan however did not really comprehend at the time that I just cannot let things go - especially a half little man that stood there with some sort of laid-back arrogance - telling me he's so much more than just a piece of fire wood. Yes, he actually told me he is a 'god'!

Well, I felt really sorry for him. He did not look like a god at all. He looked more like a sophisticated piece of fire wood. But never ever let a piece of fire wood with an attitude find out that he does not look like a god. It might cause spontaneous combustion, which isn't something you want your fire wood to do, unless they do it only when you want to light your fire - which would really be a time saver and if you can patent it you'll make more money than Bill!

I took pity or the poor little guy and kept him in my workshop standing in a spot where he could watch me doing my thing - you know, giving him more confidence that I really serious at what I'm doing. It's like having the opportunity of observing a dentist before you go and sit in the sacrificial chair to take your share of pain.

Slowly but surely his confidence started to grow and I could sense a warm glow of trust radiating from his dried little wooden body. It was such a great feeling - it was winter and my hands were freezing!

Then one day I gabbed him, held him down with my one imaginary hand and used my two real hands to attach a couple of god-like appendixes to his wooden body. I had to works fast - the spontaneous combustion issue see!

He might think, "Hey, what the hell are doing to me?"
"Don't you now that I'm a god?"

He might then notice the sombre stare of my welding helmet and he might just start to doubt his godly being and before you know it, a good piece of fire wood burns in the wrong place and it might become an out of control fire in no time!

I however did it - some precision welding, some precision grinding, some precision drilling, some precision screwing (don't laugh, I'm being serious) and some precision varnishing and look at him - a real god!
Well OK, he is sure he's a real god now and no blank stare from my welding helmet will make him think otherwise!

To get him to his self-acclaimed status of 'god' I have attached a fitting head - old log splitting tool - I think and several ribs from a car coil spring and there he is!

Thanks for reading - I'll have to go and have a 'godly'-nap now!
